Models available through a service
Suno announced v6, v6-wild and v6-mini and named Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe as co-development partners. The primary release and contemporary reporting describe the September 9 rollout, rather than merely a future model plan. [1][2]
The larger v6 and v6-wild variants were offered to Pro and Premier subscribers, with v6-mini available to all users. The announcement describes a hosted music-generation service and editing capabilities; it does not announce downloadable open model weights. Artist-specific opt-in experiences were still described as future work. [1]
Different contributions and dates
BMG’s August 12 alliance concerned recordings, publishing, artist opportunities and compensation. Believe’s September 8 announcement connected artist participation and the new model to distribution through Believe and TuneCore. These rights and distribution roles are different from assuming that every catalog owner or investor developed the model. [3][4]
The companies frame the models as built with licensed music. That is their description of the partnership, not an independent legal audit of every training item or a guarantee that all artists consented. Distribution eligibility and future opt-in experiences also remain bounded by the announced terms. [1][4]
