Distribution and artist participation
Believe develops and distributes artists’ music and operates publishing services. Its history dates the business to 2005 and records the 2015 acquisition of TuneCore. Serving an artist or distributing a recording is different from owning every right in that music. [1]
The September 8, 2026 Suno announcement describes Believe and TuneCore’s role in future opt-in artist experiences and distribution eligibility for tracks made with the new partner-developed model. It does not grant unrestricted distribution rights to every AI-generated track or establish that every represented artist has joined. [2]
The next day’s v6 release names Believe, BMG and Warner Music Group as co-development partners. That documented contribution is why Believe participates in the model-release history; its distribution relationships alone would not justify the same attribution. [3]
