Generated music inside an editing workflow
Suno develops models for creating music and tools for working on the result. Its Studio release in September 2025 joined generated vocals, drums and other stems to a multitrack editor with tempo, pitch and volume controls. The product made generation part of an editable music-production session. [2]
At launch, Studio was a desktop product for Premier subscribers and could export audio stems and MIDI. A producer could continue working in another audio workstation, rather than treating the generated song as a final, indivisible file. [2]
Agreements and later models
The November 2025 Warner agreement settled litigation and outlined licensing and artist opt-ins for later music experiences. It also documented Suno's completed acquisition of Songkick, connecting its music-generation business with a concert-discovery service. [3]
In September 2026, Suno introduced v6, v6-wild and v6-mini with partners including Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe. The release added localized editing and other creation controls, with different subscriber access for the variants. It still described individual-artist opt-in products as future work; that roadmap is separate from the model rollout and does not establish that every earlier rights dispute was resolved. [4]
