Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion: Beta Access and Features

Claude Dashboards entered beta for paid plans on October 8, 2026; Motion did so for Team and Enterprise. Dashboards queries connected data; Motion makes MP4 explainers.

Dashboards: questions about company data

Claude Dashboards launched in beta on paid plans on October 8, 2026. A user connects a data platform such as Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks or Snowflake, or a CRM such as Salesforce through Claude's connectors, and asks a question in plain language. Claude queries the data, builds the dashboard and keeps it current as the data changes. Each chart shows when its data was last refreshed, and clicking any number shows the query behind it. [1][2]

Anthropic positioned it for quick, exploratory questions rather than as a replacement for business intelligence tools. A dashboard can be sent to Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel, Omni, Perplexity, PostHog or Sigma for deeper analysis, with Databricks Genie, Looker, monday.com and Tableau listed as coming soon. [1]

Motion: animation written as code

Claude Motion launched in beta on Team and Enterprise plans only. From a prompt such as turning a quarterly report into a 30-second explainer, Claude writes code that animates the user's text, charts, shapes and images, which plays like a short video and downloads as an MP4. Because it is code, any word, number or timing can be edited in Claude's editor. [1]

Anthropic stated that Motion does not use a video generation model, so there is no generated footage and no AI-generated people. Projects can be opened in Adobe, Descript, HeyGen, Higgsfield, invideo, Luma AI or Runway, with Canva and Captions to follow. Enterprise admins had to switch both Dashboards and Motion on. [1]

Leaving out a video model is a scoping decision as much as a technical one. It confines Motion to explaining material the user already has, and avoids the questions about synthetic people and footage that video generators raise. [1]

Docs, Slides and Design leave beta

The same announcement took Claude Docs, Slides and Design out of beta on every plan, including Free. Docs and Slides had arrived in beta in September when Anthropic merged chat and Cowork, and Anthropic said users had since made more than 45 million docs, decks and designs. The release added customer-managed encryption keys for artifacts, shared editing between a team and Claude, outside sharing where admins allow it, and formatting-faithful PowerPoint and PDF exports. [1]

Anthropic also set a closing date for the standalone Claude Design site at claude.ai/design: it stays up until December 14, 2026, after which chats, comments and public links from standalone projects stop working. Design had worked inside every Claude conversation since September 16. Docs, Slides and Design were set to switch on by default for Enterprise on October 15. [1]
