Replit Series D: $400M Raise, $9B Valuation and Agent 4

Replit raised $400 million at a $9 billion valuation and launched Agent 4 the same day. See the six-month valuation jump, product changes and customer mix.

A valuation tripled in six months

Georgian led the $400 million Series D at a $9 billion valuation, with G Squared, Prysm Capital, Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, Y Combinator, Accenture Ventures, Okta Ventures and Databricks Ventures also participating. [1]

Georgian had led Replit's previous round too: a $250 million Series C in September 2025 that valued the company at $3 billion. The new round triples that figure six months later. At the time of the Series C, Replit said it was on track for $150 million in annualized revenue, and this announcement did not update that number. What it did add is a new target: Replit told Forbes it hopes to hit $1 billion in annual recurring revenue by the end of 2026. [3]

Atlas interpretation: No current revenue figure accompanied a round this size, which makes the $9 billion valuation a bet on the trajectory from $150 million toward $1 billion rather than a multiple of anything reported that day. [3]

Agent 4 puts a person back in the loop

Agent 4 launched the same day, described as running ten times faster than Agent 3 and combining a design canvas with code generation inside one project, so a user can sketch and refine an interface and have working software follow from it rather than treating design and code as separate stages. [2]

Agent 3, released roughly six months earlier, was built around autonomy: running unattended for hours and testing its own output. Replit's own announcement describes Agent 4 as a change in philosophy, built to keep a person's creative judgment at the center of the work while Agent 4 handles the tedious parts in the background, including running several agents on a project in parallel. [2]

Atlas interpretation: Shipping a funding announcement and a flagship product release on the same day is a deliberate pairing, not a coincidence of scheduling. It gives investors a demo to point to and gives the product launch a valuation number to be measured against. [2][1]

The customer is someone who cannot code

Replit's announcement counts more than 50 million platform users and says builders from over 85 percent of Fortune 500 companies now use it, naming Zillow, Labcorp, Atlassian, PayPal and Adobe as enterprise customers. [1]

Atlas interpretation: That customer list mixes two very different buyers: individuals with no programming background building something for themselves, and enterprise teams adopting Replit as a tool their existing engineers use. The $9 billion valuation depends on both segments continuing to grow, since a platform selling only to non-programmers or only to enterprises would need a much larger base in either group alone. [1]
