Digital Realty opens an AI infrastructure testing lab

Testing workloads inside a working data center

Digital Realty introduced its Innovation Lab on September 10, 2025. Customers could bring workloads or use prepared infrastructure to test architectures inside a live colocation environment. Next-day reporting corroborated the introduction. [1][2]

The announced capabilities included AI and HPC testing up to 150 kW per cabinet and connectivity for hybrid deployments. The contribution was an available infrastructure-testing service, rather than a promise to construct an unspecified future campus. [1]
