Facilities that support AI workloads
Digital Realty supplies data-center space, cooling, power and interconnection. These physical and network services support organizations deploying their own AI systems or serving compute to others. They are a different contribution from developing a foundation model. [1]
The company introduced its Innovation Lab on September 10, 2025. Located inside a live Northern Virginia colocation facility, the lab lets customers test representative workloads and architectures before expanding deployment. Its announced capabilities included high-density AI and HPC testing up to 150 kW per cabinet. [1][2]
Digital Realty also described its Manassas campus's role in NVIDIA's AI Factory Research Center and infrastructure-design work in November 2025. That work concerns cooling, power management and AI-factory design. A research-site announcement alone does not establish that every future facility or capacity target has entered operation. [3]
