Coding assistance and organizational context

Tabnine developed AI coding assistance, including editor integration and context drawn from an organization's software. Mistral named Tabnine as a partner in the May 29, 2024 Codestral release, with an integration that put the coding model into developer workflows. [3]

Tricentis announced its acquisition of Tabnine on July 30, 2026. Its release described Tabnine's Enterprise Context Engine as combining structured and vector-based context from code, documentation, tickets, APIs and dependencies. The stated purpose was to supply that context to agent-assisted quality engineering and testing. Contemporary reporting also described the transaction as acquired, rather than an unclosed offer. [1][2]

Tabnine's role in this record therefore spans coding assistance and the context layer used to understand enterprise software. Its current ownership is Tricentis. The acquisition announcement establishes that relationship and the intended integration; it does not independently validate claims about defect reduction or the eventual performance of a combined agent platform.
