The AI Futures Project is a nonprofit research organization focused on forecasting AI. The AI 2027 scenario

The group’s April 2025 AI 2027 release presented a detailed scenario of AI development with alternative endings. The authors describe their work as a forecast informed by quantitative models and tabletop exercises.
