Chroma signs a definitive agreement to join Replit

Chroma announced a signed agreement to join Replit and a 60-day winddown of its existing Cloud service. Apache 2.0 ChromaDB continues; the announcement does not establish completed company control.

Agreement, service transition and continuing code

Chroma’s CEO said it had signed a definitive agreement to join Replit. The account describes continuing work on ChromaDB and enterprise context technology, while the existing hosted Cloud service enters a transition. The signed agreement is distinct from a verified closing. [1][3]

The Cloud notice schedules write access to stop on November 22 and read access on December 22. It separately preserves the Apache 2.0 project with continuing Replit contributions. These future service cutoffs do not mean the software project has shut down. [2]
