n8n previews an Assistant that builds and debugs workflows

n8n introduced an Assistant that plans workflows, creates nodes, executes them and revises failed steps, with confirmation for credentials and activation. It shipped behind a preview flag on Cloud and configured Docker installations; npm self-hosting and enterprise access were excluded at launch.

An assistant that runs its draft

n8n introduced a preview Assistant that builds a workflow on the existing canvas, executes it and uses the resulting errors to propose revisions. The company distinguished this from the previous AI Workflow Builder, which generated a workflow once. [1]

Credential access and activation required confirmation. Cloud access excluded Enterprise at launch; Docker installations required configuration and user-supplied keys, and npm self-hosting was unsupported. The company warned that a first draft still needed review before production use. [1]
