Release and source context
Ollama released desktop applications for chatting with downloaded models on macOS and Windows. The interface added model selection, file inputs and context controls alongside the existing command-line workflow; capabilities still depended on model support and hardware. [1]
The available behavior depends on the model's supported inputs and the machine's memory. Desktop access does not remove those constraints. [1]
