Vultr offers GPU cloud and managed model inference. Its Serverless Inference service combines hosted models, automatic resource scaling and retrieval tools for applications that do not manage their own GPU clusters.

Hosted inference alongside GPU infrastructure

Vultr's AI services include managed inference for language, code, image and speech workloads. Serverless Inference provisions resources as requests arrive and offers vector-store retrieval for contextual chat applications. Model availability changes with the service's catalog. [1]

An early Vultr Cloud Inference beta opened on private reservation in March 2024. The October 17, 2024 announcement described a broader service with turnkey retrieval-augmented generation, private GPU clusters and an API compatible with existing OpenAI-style clients. It was an expansion of the service, rather than its first-ever inference offering. [3][2][4]

This gives application teams a managed route from stored documents to model responses, while Vultr handles the serving infrastructure. The familiar API format describes integration compatibility; it does not establish an OpenAI partnership or that Vultr developed the third-party models it hosts. [1][2]
