AI distribution and compute
Telegram is a messaging platform whose iOS service launched on August 14, 2013. Its bot interfaces let outside developers distribute assistants inside the app. Telegram also says it developed Cocoon, the decentralized AI platform powering features such as translation and custom tones. That is a compute and product contribution, although the FAQ's privacy assurances are the developer's description rather than an independent security assessment. [1]
The May 2025 Grok proposal should be read at its announced stage. Pavel Durov described a one-year integration with cash, equity and subscription-revenue terms; Elon Musk responded that no deal had been signed, and Durov clarified that agreement was in principle with formalities pending. Those statements do not establish completed payment or a Grok rollout to every Telegram user. [3][2]
