A company organized around one research objective
Safe Superintelligence, whose website identifies it as Safe Superintelligence Inc., is a research company with offices in Palo Alto and Tel Aviv. It describes safe superintelligence as its single goal. This is a research and intended-product objective, rather than evidence that such a system has already shipped. The joint company-and-NVIDIA release dates its founding to 2024. [1][3]
In a July 2025 update, Ilya Sutskever identified himself as CEO and Daniel Levy as president, and said Daniel Gross had left the company. That dated statement is more precise than treating the original founders as a current management roster. [2]
Compute for the research program
In July 2026 SSI and NVIDIA announced a strategic partnership involving investment and access to NVIDIA compute, including the Vera Rubin platform. The release described a planned increase in available compute. It did not establish that all capacity had already been delivered, or that NVIDIA had acquired control of SSI. [3]
