An Indian model and cloud company
Krutrim’s company site identifies Krutrim SI Designs Private Limited and places the business within the Ola Group. Its cloud products cover compute, storage and AI workloads, including model training, fine-tuning and inference. This company identity does not establish that Ola Electric owns the business. [1]
At its February 4, 2025 public introduction, Krutrim released the 12B Krutrim-2 model alongside other Indic-language research. The instruction model uses the Mistral-NeMo architecture and post-training for instruction following and preference alignment. Contemporary reporting confirms the February announcement; the current card’s internally inconsistent release-history year is not used to assert an earlier first-public date. [2][3][5]
The downloadable model is governed by the Krutrim Community License, rather than Apache 2.0. That agreement provides limited research, personal and educational permissions and requires a separate agreement for Commercial Use as it defines that term. Public model access should therefore be distinguished from unrestricted commercial reuse. [4]
