Analysis across a set of documents
Hebbia builds AI software for research and analysis over document collections. Its Matrix interface breaks a larger question into smaller tasks, processes documents with text and vision models, and displays intermediate results in a grid that users can inspect and change. That supports work such as comparing clauses or assembling evidence across a deal's documents. [1]
This approach gives analysts a working surface around model output. The grid exposes steps and source material for review, instead of making a single generated answer the whole product. The announcement's claims about arbitrary complexity and AGI are broader than the documented interface and are not needed to explain its contribution. [1]
Turning analysis into an artifact
Hebbia acquired FlashDocs in June 2025. FlashDocs supplied an API that converted markdown, structured data or language-model output into branded PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations. The acquisition connected document analysis with a common deliverable in financial and professional work. [2]
The announcement described FlashDocs' founders leading API and artifact-generation work at Hebbia. This establishes an acquired business and a concrete product capability; it does not make a generated presentation's financial or legal conclusions independently verified. The analysis and the formatted output still carry the limitations of their inputs and models. [2]
