Connecting coding agents to delivery

Harness supplies a platform for software delivery, including continuous integration and delivery, testing, security and cost management. Its AI products apply agents to stages of that workflow, so its role extends beyond generating a patch: the resulting software still has to be tested, governed and delivered. These are product descriptions, rather than independent evidence of an agent's success rate. [1]

Harness announced the purchase of selected Augment assets on October 8, 2026. The named technology included Cosmos, Auggie CLI and the Code Context Engine. The company described combining those coding and context capabilities with its existing delivery agents, and said the associated team would join Harness. [2][3]

The transaction links two stages of agent-assisted software engineering: understanding and changing a repository, and moving changes through the delivery process. The operative announcement says selected assets were acquired. It supplies no basis for recording Harness as the owner of the entire Augment Code company. [2]
