Eureka Labs: Karpathy's AI School, LLM101n and nanochat

An announced school and a course under development

Andrej Karpathy announced Eureka Labs in July 2024 as an AI-education company. Its school design pairs course material written by a human teacher with an AI assistant that guides students through it. The stated first product, LLM101n, is intended to teach students to build a small language model from the ground up. [1][2]

The linked LLM101n repository explicitly says that the course does not yet exist and is being developed by Eureka Labs. Karpathy's later nanochat release provides a separate public code walkthrough of language-model training and serving. Its availability does not establish that LLM101n or the proposed teaching-assistant school has been completed. [3][4]
