Industrial development alongside capital
Aker ASA is a Norwegian industrial investment company whose operating approach combines capital with industrial and project-development expertise. Its AI contribution includes work on the infrastructure and energy needed to support large compute deployments. [1][3]
The Aker-Nscale joint venture was one of the delivery vehicles in Nscale's October 2025 Microsoft rollout. The announcement identified the Narvik campus's approximately 52,000 GB300 GPUs as a part of a wider contracted program, with future phased delivery. [2]
Aker's May 2026 shareholder letter describes consolidating its exposure by rolling the joint-venture stake into Nscale alongside a financing investment. That later structure should be distinguished from the joint venture named in the historical contract announcement. An investment position does not establish that Aker owns the whole cloud company.
